The Benefits of Drumming

Physical Health

Studies have shown that drumming has observable positive effects on the physical health of participants. In addition to the broad benefits of physical activity, drumming was found to improve immune function, and reduce inflammation and fatigue.

Cognitive Health

Drumming can also help cognitive function, with research showing that regular practice can improve audio processing, spatial processing, long and short term memory, and hand-eye coordination.

Drumming, especially social drumming, improves the mental health of participants, with studies showing significant reduction in anxiety, depression, and anger, and increased social resilience.
